The Crohn's & Colitis Foundation is a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization dedicated to finding the cures for Crohn's Disease and ulcerative colitis, and to improving the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases. RACE FAQ
What do I do if I'm new to mountain biking and I'm unsure about a race?
There is a mountain bike skills clinic and bike demo before earlier in the afternoon at no cost.
The only request is that you RSVP if through the website so we have a headcount. If you like, you can join in the guided daylight ride of the course. Still want more, there will be time to sign up for the race.
How do I pre-ride the course?
A map of the race course is included on the web page. There will also be a guided group ride of the race course for one lap in before sunset - anyone can participate. For park trail closures, please check the rain-out line www.rainoutline.com/search/dnis/6367070011 (or call 636.707.0011)
How many laps is the race?
The Open Race is 3 laps (16 miles)
The Cash Class Race will be 4 laps (22 miles)
What do I do if it sounds like too long of a race?
No worries. You can easily end your race after one or two laps. Just pull off after the finish like to complete your lap and your time will be recorded. Please let the timing or race officials know your stopped. Get an early start on the food and drinks.
Is there a time cut-off to complete the race?
Unfortunately, yes, since it's a night race and time is limited. For the Open Class the second lap of the race must be completed by 1 hour and 20 minutes in order to leave for your third lap.
How easy will it be to see the trail at night, even with lights?
The course will be challenging but will be clearly marked. Pre riding the course in the daylight is recommended. The course will be marked with reflective directional arrows, the hazards and creek crossings will be marked with reflective warning signs, and the open sections of the course will be lined with caution tape and reflective markers. Intersections will have volunteers to help direct you.

There is a complementary series t-shirt for all racers. You will receive a shirt for the first race you do in the series.
Is there a rain-out option?
Yes, there is a rain date day in May. If you are unable to make the rain-out or the rain make-up is cancelled, your entry will be deferred to another race in the series or to next year's race.
Do we need a light for the race?
Yes, we recommend two lights of at least 1000ln each - one for the helmet and one on the handlebars for best results. Outbound Lighting will be at the event with their incredible lights for demo at no cost - please RSVP through the website. You can order a light for purchase at www.outboundlighting.com
What do we do with our race bib number?
Custom resuable race bibs will be assigned during registration at the race and collected after the race.
